Genre (Linkin Park)

The music genre linkin park are associated with isrock and nu-metal. They are a band with guitars,piano and a lead singer which are usually genre signifiers of American rock. Also the clothes they wear are stereotypically associated with rock artists or alternative rock.
You can also tell they are a rock band due to piercings and the colour of there clothes. Black T-shirts and combat pants or skinny jeans with tattoos and ear plugs are conventions Linkin Park use which identify them as a rock band rather than a pop band

Linkin park also  have different genre categories which they can be associated because they are really diverse. They made an album with Jay-z which adjusted there genre from American rock and nu-metal to Rap metal. This shows they are diverse and have explored other genres and they are not like the usual bands but diverse which is unique. Even when they have explored other genres they still stuck to there rock theme and added hints of other genres. Thus meaning they tweaked the actual rock genre and made sub genres like rap metal.
